Emory & Henry College will hold events throughout the year celebrating it's 175th year. Events begin in August with Convocation, continue through the academic year, and conclude with the 165th Commencement of Emory & Henry College.
The 2011 Fall Academic Convocation officially opens the 175th academic session of Emory & Henry College.
The College's annual homecoming celebration will be an exanded event in honor of the College's 175th Anniversary. Along with these festivities, the Wasps face-off against ODAC rival Hampden-Sydeny.
World-renowned historian Doris Kearns Goodwin is a Pulitzer Prize-winning and best-selling author. She presents the keynote address for Emory & Henry College’s 175th anniversary celebration.
This year our traditional Charter Day gets a new name: Founder’s Day. Our 175th anniversary gives us a perfect opportunity to transform this day formerly dedicated to celebrating the granting of the college charter into a day devoted to celebrating our founders.
The 164th Commencement Ceremonies of Emory & Henry College will be held Saturday, May 5 on the South Lawn of Memorial Chapel.
In honor of its 175th Anniversary, Emory & Henry College will host events throughout the 2011-2012 academic year. Friends of the College are invited to campus to participate in these events and help celebrate the College's history.
