Emory & Henry students have access to more than 70 study abroad programs in 35 countries. By offering a variety of meaningful learning and service experiences abroad, the International Education Program extends the College's mission of moving toward fulfilling every student's potential by preparing students for life in a rapidly changing global society. With an emphasis on active engagement, the program enhances global awareness through an understanding of cultural diversity and global interdependence.
Emory & Henry College offers courses in several disciplines that incorporate travel abroad. During the semester, classes meet regularly to learn about the destination. Depending on the course, students study neotropical ecosystems in Costa Rica; the psychology of communism and the Holocaust in Central Europe; theatre and culture in Bulgaria, or Renaissance art in Italy. At the end of the semester, the class travels together for an unforgettable learning experience abroad.
